The time served crafts people who hand finish these benches use mortice and tenon joints that are reinforced with teak dowels to offer the ultimate in long lasting stability with regular use over time.
Also notice the supporting bars between the leg sections.
Only the finest quality teak is used in these benches making them well equipped to be left at the mercy of the elements outside all year round allowing the natural oils and dense grain to offer the required level of protection against cracking or rotting naturally and without the need for external treatments.
In time the natural ageing process will turn the timber from the golden, honey-coloured lustre to the familiar silver-grey patina of aged teak.
To remove this you can view our range of Teak Care Products or it can be removed manually by using warm, soapy water combined with a stiff-bristle brush and some elbow grease on a warm summer’s day.
