Mortice and tenon joints are used as standard and these are further reinforced using teak dowels. This preserves the integrity of the timber and ensures that the bench does not develop a wobble with regular use over time.
The ageing process will turn the reddish-brown hue of the teak a silver-grey over time and this can be removed for cosmetic purposes by following our Teak Care Advice.
And the great thing about teak is its suitability for outdoor use due to the natural protection offered by the high oil content and dense nature of the grain.
