Hand crafted from old ox-carts that have reached the end of their working life this curved bench has a real antique feel to it and is treated for use outdoors.
The previous uses of the teak have been intentionally left exposed to add further character and interest value with the ox-cart ‘yokes’ set as a display feature along the front and down the sides. The seating area has a smoothed finish and the curved back is rounded and very well supported across its length.
Hand cut mortice and tenon joints are used in the construction and thes eare reinforced with teak dowels for a bench that will last and look great for years to come.
Teak is naturally very oily and dense which naturally protects it against the elements throughout the year making it far superior to other timbers and the fact that the ageing process in reclaimed teak is already well underway makes this bench well protected when it arrives with you.
You also have the added piece of mind that you are buying an eco-friendly product as the reclamation of teak overseas actively reduces the amount of timber harvested from the forest.
